In-class exam policies & procedures
-
These are general policies.
Please check the course news page for changes,
clarifications, or updates.

You may bring ONE
sheet (8.5"x11") of notes
-
You may use
both sides of the sheet
-
You may write
out your notes or use a computer printer or
copier
-
You may
include tables and diagrams
-
It's a very
good idea to include information that the
instructor has TOLD you to expect on the exam
-
You must have
your NAME on the sheet; it will be turned with
the exam
-
You must use a #2 pencil (I'll have
a few extras with me)
-
There are no make-up exams after
the last exam is given. However, if you must miss
your exam you can take it with another class at
their scheduled time.
-
No animal noises during the
exam, please. Also:
-
Nothing on the
table except your exam, notes, pencils, and
correction fluid
-
No use of cell
phones, pagers, PDAs, iPods, secret agent
decoder rings, walkie-talkies, or any other such
devices
-
All books and
other notes must be completely stowed away.
No cups, sandwiches, backpacks, sacks of White
Castles, snacks, drugs, hypodermic needles, or
other non-test items (except with prior
approval from instructor and only for
emergency/medical reasons).

No talking,
singing, or tapping in Morse Code in the room
once the exam is handed out to the first student
-
Anything that
APPEARS to be cheating will be treated as
cheating!
