Migration!

The LIONS have been recently and suddenly forced to migrate with the wildebeests to new web server software, so everything is kinda messed up in the LION DEN right now.

HINT: Change the URL from "lionden.com" to "lionden.info" to view the old "legacy" Lion Den (until I get this one fully tamed).

Our sincere apologies!

Looks like some of your answers were not accepted?

When you "Save answer" before "Next question" then the grid in the upper right corner of the test should change to a checkmark to show that WebCT has accepted your answer.  Make sure this happens before moving on.

Sometimes, if you click too fast it won't be accepted  so you have to click again to  save it.  Don't move to the next question UNTIL YOU SEE THE ICON CHANGE in the grid!

WebCT will not "catch up" with your clicks —you have to WAIT until you SEE the change before moving on.

Note: If you really don't know the answer, it won't hurt to guess—at least you'll have a chance at getting it right.

grid

Saved answers are indicated by a check mark (tick).

In this example, items 1 through 8 have been saved, item 9 has been answered but not saved, and items 10 through 36 have not been saved.

WebCT will accept only items 1 through 8.  Answer 9 will be lost unless it is saved before moving to the next item.

When reviewing your test, any items that really were not answered or accepted by WebCT will say "not answered" or "unanswered."

The accepted answers will be marked with a little arrowhead (triangle) to show your answer.  To the left of this arrowhead is a percentage.

If it's a 100.0% (or anything above 0.0%) and green, then the answer was correct.

If it's a 0.0% and red, then the answer was wrong.  In other words, it was indeed saved—it's just not the right answer.

For multiple response items (where more than one choice may be selected), it may not have the percentages marked if the item is programmed as an "all nor none" credit item (where you have to get all the correct choices to receive credit).  The only way to tell it's wrong is that you'll have zero points of credit for that item.

Again, remember to click "Save answer" then "Next question" to make sure your answer is accepted.  Don't click "Finish" until you're done with the test.

If you somehow made it to the end of the test and you see that you did skip some of the questions, there is nothing you can do to go back and retake those items.  I will not generally give you credit for missed items. So BE CAREFUL as you take the test.

If you really are doing all of this and WebCT really is skipping or losing some of your answers, then contact the SCC Help Desk right away. This has NEVER happened yet. . . but I guess you could be the first, eh?
